About us

Spinoza Restaurant is located in the heart of Budapest's Jewish Quarter, a unique cultural hub that combines a restaurant, café, theater, and gallery. Housed in a former bakery and candy factory on historic Dob Street, it evokes the nostalgic atmosphere of "peaceful old Pest."

Culinary Experiences

The menu blends traditional Hungarian and Jewish cuisine while also offering international dishes.

·        Signature Dishes: Goose soup with matzah balls made from a real "grandma's recipe," slow-cooked cholent (oven-baked overnight), Hungarian goulash soup, beef goulash (stew) , chicken paprikash, and dairy-free flódni (traditional 3 layered Jewish cake – apple, walnuts and poppy seed with a touch of plum jam).

·        Special Events: Every Friday evening, we host a traditional Klezmer concert dinner, starting with a glass of champagne.

Atmosphere and Programs

Spinoza is renowned for its artistic and entertainment offerings:

·        Live Music: Every evening, live piano music accompanies your dinner.

·        Theater: An intimate theater operates in the back room, featuring cabarets, concerts, and unique plays.
